Cute Cartoon Cases for Kindle Paperwhite

Cute Cartoon Cases for Kindle Paperwhite
It definitely fits my 2nd generation Paperwhite with ease. It's a soft plastic - I would describe it as in between those super hard "snap in" cases and the silicone or other soft glove-like cases. I like it.
The cover has a very light magnet - barely there. I don't feel anything when I close it. I believe this is because of the other customer's experiences with it turning the Kindle off when flipped around to the backside. Mine works just as it's supposed to. However, the cover slips a little when closed (not detrimentally) because of the light magnet.
I got is as a Mother's Day present, along with my new Kindle Paperwhite device! I was actually torn between this one and another, more expensive case by Marware. I've owned a few Marware--I see they are MarBlue now--cases before and they have all, without fail, proven to be a superior product. So, when I had the choice between this one, or the more expensive MarBlue case, I hesitated. But, after reading several reviews I decided to give this case a chance; after all Amazon has an excellent return policy.
For reading with my Kindle Paperwhite at home, I prefer using it without a cover, but I put it in my purse when going to appointments, events, and when traveling. Therefore, I needed a cover so it wouldn't get scratched, but wanted something very minimal. I wanted very thin and lightweight. This cover was described as "Thinnest and Lightest," and I agree. It seems almost featherweight and adds very, very little bulk, but on a device that only weighs about 7 ounces itself, I can tell that it adds just a little bit of weight. I've been leaving it in the cover even at home, however, because I'm afraid if I remove and replace it too many times, it might loosen or break. It's a very simple and attractive cover, which is what I wanted. The Paperwhite just snaps into the little plastic "tray" which holds it securely. The front and back covers are held closed magnetically, and somehow wake the Kindle when it's opened and put it to sleep when it's closed. Even though the cover is happily very thin, I think it would offer some basic level of protection if the device was dropped. I ordered the pink, which is a calm shade. The outside of the cover is firm and has a small leather-like grain, and the inside of the front cover is soft microfiber in charcoal gray. The cover does give you the impression that you're holding a real book, and the front cover will fold completely around to the back for holding it in one hand. I recommend this cover especially for those like me who'd prefer no cover or a very minimal one, but want some protection for the Kindle. This cover is even better than I expected! The price was excellent as well.
This case looks very elegant and it has the look as if it were an agenda or a book. I think it protects very well your kindle and for the price it is a very good purchase, because the official Amazon case is much more expensive. The Kindle recognizes when you open the case and when you close it, and it protects your kindle, so at the end it does the job for a cheaper price. The only thing you have to be aware of is that you have to make sure that the magnets in the case match the edge of it, so that the Kindle can recognize that you have closed the case and enters the sleep mode.
A note of caution if ordering: For some reason, Amazon has listed four entirely different covers on the same product page, and all the reviews for the different covers are mixed together, which is confusing. This review is for the Printing series "Thinnest and Lightest" cover only. I wish amazon would do separate product pages and especially separate reviews for entirely different products.

Review: All-New Kindle (2016)

White Kindle
The 1st deliveries of the brand-new Kindle model begun to arrive on doorsteps over the past couple of days. My loaner review unit showed up on Thursday early morning, as well as I have put in the past three days and nights actively playing with it (it makes for an amazing discus).

I select the white-colored style for the sake of trying something fresh, in addition to I believe I have had it long enough to publish my review.

It's white-colored.

It's a Amazon kindle.

Very seriously, those of you, it's 2016 as well as we have long since reached the point where we talk about the Kindle in much the same way that managers used to make reference to IBM.

Are you aware that phrase "Nobody ever got fired for choosing IBM"?

It referred to the general opinion that IBM was the safe option for computers, which was real during the time. As well as it is simply just as true right now that the Kindle is the reliable choice for e-readers, understanding that has been true for several years now.

The completely new Kindle is a very well enough replacement for what was already a very adequate ebook reader. The 2014 basic Kindle may have been big plus blocky, yet all that fell away when you work with it to read.

Nevertheless, the new one is quite a lot prettier, and even I'd tell you it's even prettier when compared with the Paperwhite. The 2016 Amazon kindle is thinner as well as smaller in every way than its predecessor, and it sports smaller bezels, a smooth back together with curved edges (an enhancement on the Paperwhite), in addition to twice the RAM plus Bluetooth.

It really is a lot prettier than the 2014 model and also it is in every way an improvement, nevertheless my enthusiasm is tempered by the basic fact that I was enthusiastic about the 2014 model and that I no longer need the accessibility options (which are made possible by BT).

So you need to purchase it?

That depends.

I wouldn't encourage replacing to it, not unless your present Kindle had died. However in case I were buying one at this time I may possibly select the 2016 model over the earlier version. Amazon is offering both on its website at this time, and the 2016 model only costs $10 more.

Alternatively, Amazon is as well listing the 2014 Kindle as a refurb for $56.

Is the brand new Kindle really worth the extra $24 over the price of the refurb?

You explain to me. Is the Bluetooth plus accessibility worth enough to you to justify the extra cost? How about the white shell?

The reply to the last question is absolutely no, simply because the Wireless bluetooth does not work properly.

And so what exactly do you think of the brand new Amazon kindle?

Features Of The All-New Kindle (8th Generation, 2016)

Heads up subscribers - all-new, top quality Kindle almost ready. 8th generation.
I can not recall the last time that I was so excited (or really excited by any means ) about a tech device release.
My favorite first generation Kindle Paperwhite is dying.
If I do not restart it every couple of days and then the Kindle OS crawls to a halt. The gadget is slow to go the the Home screen, slow to navigate to different functions, as well as slow to access the online book shop. And yes, my Kindle OS is updated.
A few of the features that I really hope to see on the new Kindle include things like:
  • Faster page turning.
  • A higher resolution display screen (over 400 ppi).
  • A screen that is a bit larger than the current 6” model (maybe 7”).
  • An easier way to turn pages - like a really solid set of buttons - would be wonderful.
  • A general improvement in the speed of navigation for book browsing and through the OS settings.
  • A return of the text-to-speech function.
  • Better integrated lighting.
  • Bluetooth.
  • Integrated reading analytics, so that I can get a picture of my own reading behaviors.
  • A thinner and lighter device.
  • Upgrades in the Kindle book shopping experience from the device, like instant access to my Wish List.
Kindle features that I rarely care about:
  • A colour display screen.
  • Integrated social features.
  • Annotation abilities.
What would motivate you to shop for the new Kindle when it is released?
What the heck is on your Kindle wish list?

Cute Cartoon Leather Cover Case for All-New Kindle (8th Generation)

Cartoon Leather Cover Case for All-New Kindle (8th Generation)
For reading with my Kindle at home, I prefer using it without a cover, but I put it in my purse when going to appointments, events, and when traveling. I recommend this cover especially for those like me who'd prefer no cover or a very minimal one, but want some protection for the Kindle. This cover is even better than I expected! The price was excellent as well.
I really balked at buying the Amazon branded cover for this device. It is nigh on 30% of the device price. So I noticed this case had great reviews AND you can get it for a song if you choose the lowest-priced color. I figured if I didn't like it I was out eight bucks and I can always buy the Amazon case. My blue one was $7.99 and the red one is a ridiculous $5.99 right now. I think I'm going to order it just as a backup.
I like it. It looks exactly like the manufacturer's pictures. It behaves exactly like the manufacturer says it will. The on and off feature works perfectly, always, the very first time. I have Amazon Prime, so for $6 and free shipping it simply doesn't make sense to at least try it before laying out 35 bucks plus tax for the genuine Amazon one. Having said that, I have a Visio 8" tablet with a Amazon-type case which uses clamps to hold the device in rather than the style used on this case. Assuming the Amazon is as good as the Visio, I would probably prefer it because absolutely nothing impinges on the top of the device. Whereas this cover has a full fake leather surround. It does not, however, ever impinge on the actual screen. Those way more expensive cases with stretchy elastic across the corners are a ridiculous design. Also, if you want a completely zippered cover, this is not for you. By the way, the fake leather is just fine.
Finally, they manufacture millions of these, okay hundreds of thousands, and some very few are going to have a glitch. From what I have read, the manufacturer responds quickly and without question. Email them they send you a new one. Unless money is no object, there's simply no reason not to at least try this case if you're looking for an automatic on and off open and close kind of case.
Okay, writing this review I am definitely going to order the red one. I just remembered I got a three-year extended warranty from Square Trade, so I might need it. BTW, do not buy any extended warranty from Amazon by just clicking on the one especially for the Paperwhite. Call their (Square Trade) 800 number and they will walk you through ordering a super deal. Again, I wasn't going to spend 30% for a three-year extended warranty. It was less.
Oh yeah, the Paperwhite has in my opinion reach nearly the pinnacle of industrial perfection. I mean sure, if it was thin as construction paper and equally foldable, cost $5, and turned the pages according to the movement of your eyes that would be better. But for reading text without diagrams it is indisputably currently state-of-the-art.

How to Make a Dog T-Shirt by Yourself

Dog T-Shirt
In case you are thinking about making man's best friend a smart brand new t-shirt, no matter if to sport around at the doggy park as well as just to wear casually around the house, making your own puppy t-shirt is a fun and easy task. Listed below are the steps to making a homemade t-shirt that can be accomplished both quickly and, on top of that, at a minimum cost.
Take your dog's sizes. Get started by measuring around the legs, neck and also chest. Keep in mind that a lot of dogs will sooner or later figure out how to "remove" their new sweater or shirt in case the t-shirt is uncomfortable as well as limits their ability to move freely.
Get your materials. You are able to get t-shirt material everywhere. If perhaps you have an old stretchable cotton sheet, you may use this at the same time. You should consider using your own personal old t-shirts.
Draw out the basic style for your pet dog t-shirt on paper. Very carefully proceed with the measurements you have already taken of the dog. Bear in mind it is really important to allow for larger leg holes and a loose fit in general, specifically since a dog's body weight can fluctuate.
Cut out the pieces based on the pattern, as well as sew them together on your sewing machine. Put an elastic band at the top and also bottom, and around the sleeves.
Print a neat iron-on logo or simply your dog's name, and iron it on to the t-shirt.
Items That's required
T-shirt
Thread
Scissors
Sewing machine
Elastic Band

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge User Review

I have been using this phone for three days now. I was impressed that the phone was delivered sooner than expected. The box was sealed and everything was intact.
The Galaxy S7 Edge is a nice phone. There is no questioning that. It's certainly good that Samsung brought back the expandable storage via the Micro SD slot because it was obnoxious for them to ask for $200 more for the larger capacity phone last year when you could have bought your own extra storage for $30.
The S7 Edge still doesn't have the removable battery which is a problem for me as I like to keep phones for a few years. Batteries only last a year or two before they start to show a noticeable reduction in performance. I like being able to get the $20 replacement battery, pop it an and be on my way.
And while the S7 is a great phone otherwise in every category, there are budget phones now that are starting to get pretty darn good for around $200 to $300. They aren't as good as the S7, but they are as good as the S4. So they are 2-3 years behind, but the phone tech from 4 years ago was pretty good for the average user. I was ready to buy the S7. I had it in my hand at the T Mobile....and just decided to go with a lower cost phone. The S7 is awesome, but I couldn't justify the price tag.
The S7 Edge earns it's value for 2 types of phone users though. People who want an really good camera in their pocket at all times and people who like to play high end graphical video games. If you are one of those people, then this might be a good value at $700 for you. If you just want to make calls, text your friends, take the occasional picture, and play a couple fairly simple games, you might consider one of the more budget friendly phones by companies that were considered off brands 3 years ago but who now are making very quality phones. (Asus and Accetel come to mind. There are others. There are also some really garbage off brands that you want nothing to do with.)
Or maybe you just want a massively overpowered phone, in which case, this is the one for you. No one really NEEDS a Ferrari either, but I certainly understand why people want them! The S7 is the same way. It's probably more powerful than you need, but it's awesome.
But as for the Galaxy S7 the reintroduction of the micro SD slot for expandable storage makes it a significant improvement over the S6. Just be careful when buying a micro SD card. Stick to the major brands (Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston, etc). A large number of the off brands are fake cards. They might have 128GB printed on the side and might even show as 128GB in the phone, but they are really 16GB cards that have been hacked. once you get the card, even if its a name brand from a reliable seller, test the card to make sure it's actually the real capacity it claims to be by either using a testing program called h2testw or just put 40gb of data on it and make sure you can read it back properly.
This is one of the most gorgeous phones I have seen. I would rather suggest buying from a carrier as they are much cheaper cost wise and you get free VR gear as well. Making it even more worth it.
The battery is bigger but personally it is draining out pretty fast even when kept idle. I am assuming it is because of the "always on" feature so I am going to disable that and check out a few more days. But that is least of my concerns as the battery does last about a whole day after a lot of usage.
The addition of microSD slot is a good move as even the 32 GB inbuilt memory isnt enough for people like me. Specially when you are buying a high tech phone and expect to do almost every thing with your super phone you need lots of memory.
